Stayed here for two nights before getting on a cruise. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very spacious and had windows that opened up onto a courtyard. Immediately across from the Vatican and walking distance to tons of restaurants and attractions.
I emailed them twice before arrival with a question and never got any response. We didn’t need it while we were there, but I didn’t notice any air conditioning.
-
Very polite staff. Buffet breakfast staff make their duty on the top of level!Excellent breakfast with a big choice. And it was surprise for us kettle with tea bags in our room. It is splendid to have possibility to make evening tea after long-long Roma walking :)) Location was very good for all our purposes. We visited Vatican and St. Peter Cupola and others spectacular sights.

The Hotel is very convenient to the Vatican Museum. It is clean and modern in amenities. The breakfast buffet is hearty and very good. The Staff is extremely helpful and very gracious in providing concierge services.
-
Responsive and skilled staff, wide choice of meal for breakfast, nice location, perfect cleanness, good isolation and silence in room.
-
Location is very good, really close to Vatican. The room was big and comfortable, in the bathroom there was a lot of amenities. Breakfast was also good. The minibar costed reasonably.
The air conditioning was centrally controlled and we could not lessen the fan speed and it was too cold in the room during the night. Then the receptionist explained that we should have called them so that they made it warmer. There should be glasses in the room.

Your staff and facilities were even more than we expected. Well done especially to your reception staff. The breakfast was the best we have experienced including some 5 star hotels.

This hotel is amazing, especially when you consider the location (directly across the street from the entrance door of the Vatican Museum), the comfort of the room, the staff, the breakfast included in the room price and the cleanliness. They did absolutely everything they could to make our stay great, and it was. During our stay I became sick on the day of checkout and asked if I could stay 3 more hours until I felt better. They not only allowed me to do so, but they did not charge me for the 3 hours beyond checkout time. Additionally, we asked the hotel to book a private tour of the Vatican and Basilica for us. They arranged this for us in advance. The day prior to the tour, our plans had changed and we needed to reschedule the tour for one day later. They made these arrangements despite it being an Italian National Holiday when most businesses are closed. This took extra effort at the last minute and they were friendly and accommodating . The tour guide was great and it was well worth the money. We were glad we had the hotel choose the guide. The guide was prompt, very knowledgeable and friendly. The breakfast included in the room price is full and very extensive. They offer the typical (eggs, bacon, coffee cake, etc.) but also some unusual items (apple kiwi fresh squeezed juice, home made frittata, and different vegetables each morning). All the food is excellent. If you decide to stay there, be sure to order a cappuccino (included in the breakfast but it needs to be ordered from the wait staff)...it is the best we had in all of Italy. If you are looking for the european hotel experience, this hotel will fit the bill perfectly. If, however, you are looking for a glitzy American hotel, this hotel is not what you are looking for. It is family run and operated. Desk staff will speak english well. Internet is included in your room and is unlimited as far as I could tell. It is a wonderful place and will add to your overall experience in Rome.

The staff was very welcoming, accommodating, professional and easily handled our questions and requests -- in English. Breakfast included with room is rare in Rome -- rarer still is such an extensive and excellent breakfast.
Loved everything

The hotel is perfect for a city break. Although the other side of the river from some of the sights, all are still within walking distance, and with a metro stop in close proximity, if you plan your finishing point carefully, you can always get the train back! We found the hotel to be excellent: the staff are friendly and attentive; the breakfast is varied, plentiful and delicious; and, our room was both clean and comfortable. We paid the 50 euros to have the limo back to the airport - a service we booked with the hotel the day before our departure - and it proved to be money well spent as a taxi would have been 48 euros, but this car was luxurious, clean and our driver was a delight.
-
The hotel was clean, the staff very friendly and it was everything we wanted during our stay. The breakfast was excellent and the staff assisted us with any questions and made reservations for dinner.
I cannot fault the hotel in any way.

My family of 4 enjoyed our 5 night stay at the Alimandi. Excellent staff and service, great location right next to the Vatican, fantastic breakfast selection. The hotel is within walking distance to many good restaurants, ask the front desk, they will give you recommendations. Our room was kept very clean, and we were very comfortable. A great stay, highly recommend!

This was my third time staying at Hotel Alimandi and always love it. The location, quaintness and great customer service is what I like. The breakfast is great too. I originally found the recommendations in Rick Steves traval book.

Responsive and friendly staff. Helpful and informative. Gracious. Very accomodating. Breakfast was a wonderful array of choices. Location ideal. Close enough to major sites and the Metro. Nice restaurants nearby. A little quieter area and that was welcome at the end of a busy day!
No computer or printer available for guests. Free WiFi in rooms was not always readily available when desired. Connections dropped easily.
